The pre-course meeting for all iLab courses takes place on Friday, February 6th 2026, 10:00 - 12:00 in MI HS 1 . .

iLab1: Build your own Internet!

iLab2: You set the Focus!

  • will not be offered in SS 26

iLabX: The Virtual Internet Laboratory

  • held by Kilian Holzinger and Johannes Späth, M.Sc. and Tim Betzer
  • in English
  • module numbers: IN0012, IN2106, IN4240
  • this course is open to students from European universities as part of the EuroTeQ program
  • mutually exclusive with the iLab1/2 (You can take either iLab1/2 or the iLabX during your studies)
  • fully remote block course taking place at the end of the semester (vacation period)
  • first phase: 6 week online course (flexible)
  • grade consists of performance in lab (teams of two) and two individually graded remotely supervised attestations
  • second phase: ~4 weeks with live online lectures and practical work in teams of two (full time)
  • the Lab environment is contained in a virtual machine which will run on your PC.
